RUBY: In ancient times, Rubies were worn in the belief that they would aid in Nurturing,
spiritual wisdom, attainment of values, economic stability, and protection from distress.
Rubies were also thought to ward off misfortune and ill-health,
and be capable of reconciling lovers' quarrels.
AMETHYST: Throughout the ages, powerful and rich monarchs have used Amethyst as a symbol
of royalty, and some Amethysts even decorate the British Crown Jewels. Rumor has it that
Amethyst was a personal favorite of Queen Catherine the Great of Russia.
Amethyst is believed to bring Contentment, spirituality, dreams, healing,
peace, happiness, love, intuition.
GARNET: Is believed to have the power to assure the wearer of love, faithfulness,
& safety from wounds, protect the wearer from evil & terrifying dreams, and
safeguard against swelling and inflammation of the joints. It is also commonly
believed that if you give garnet to a loved one, it will secure their loyalty and affection.
AQUAMARINE: Has long been sought after as the provider of Courage, purification,
peace, intuition, self-expression, balance, preparedness.
Since early times, aquamarine has been believed to endow the wearer with foresight,
courage, and happiness. It is said to have the ability to make one youthful,
and to also be effective as a treatment for anxiety.
In the Middle Ages it was thought that aquamarine would reduce the effect of poisons.
An ancient legend tells of sailors wearing aquamarine gemstones to
keep them safe and prevent seasickness.
PERIDOT: It's name is derived from the Greek peridona, meaning "to
provide plentifully".
The ancients referred to it as the "gem of the sun" and believed that it
could banish evil spirits
and break enchantments. Peridot is considered a stone of hope and is supposed to
strengthen the sight, heart and respiratory system and aid against depression.
