LAPIS LAZULI:
combines various minerals,
mostly lazurite, but also contains calcite (white),
sodalite (blue) and pyrite (fools' gold, a metallic yellow).
The Egyptians used Lapis for seals,
ground it for an eyelid cosmetic and often
carved it into vases and figurines.
They also mixed the ground Lapis powder with milk
and used that as a compress to relieve ulcers and boils.
During the Middle Ages, Lapis Lazuli was believed
to maintain the skeleton in healthy
condition while keeping the spirit free from
the negative emotions of fear and jealousy.
Lapis was prized in both Babylonia and Egypt
and often worn by royalty.
The Romans used Lapis as an aphrodisiac,
and believed it would strengthen total awareness,
creativity, the skeleton, and thyroid,
and would improve sleep and cure insomnia.
SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS:
are produced by Swarovski AG in
Switzerland
Daniel Swarovski invented the process
to make Swarovski crystal in
1892
Today they lead the world in crystals.
Swarovski Crystals are arguably the worlds finest crystals!
