Persons of any age may become members of the
Thomas Rogers Society, Inc.
by providing proof of their direct descent from
Thomas Rogers, Pilgrim,
a passenger on the Mayflower voyage that terminated at
Plymouth, New England, in December, 1620.
Individuals who become members by direct/blood descent
from Thomas Rogers are "Direct Members".
"Direct Members" under the age of twenty-one are
non-voting "Junior Members".
A spouse, widow or widower of a "Direct Member",
although not of blood descent themselves,
are welcome as non-voting "Associate Members",
and may participate in all activities of the society.

Those eligible for active membership are
women no less than 16 years of age who are blood
descendants, lineal or collateral, of men and women
who served honorably in the Army, Navy or
Civil Service of the Confederate States of America,
or gave Material Aid to the Cause. Also eligible
are those women who are lineal or collateral
blood descendants of members or former
members of UDC.

Membership in the Corps is comprised
(1) Enrolled Members, which include any citizen of the United States,
of lawful age and good moral character, who are admitted to
membership in the Artillery Service Detachment of the
Veteran Corps of Artillery. Citizens of the
United States between the ages of eighteen and twenty-one years
who are otherwise qualified, may be admitted with the consent
of their parents or guardians; and
(2) Revolutionary Members, who, under regulations made by
the Council of Administration,
are members in good standing of the Society of the Cincinnati,
the Sons of the Revolution in the State of New York,
the Sons of the American Revolution,
and the proven descendants of soldiers and sailors of the Revolution.

Membership is composed of men and women of good moral character
and reputation who are the descendants of those ancestors
who traveled with fellow Quakers to America
between September 28, 1681 and September 16, 1682.
This includes the twenty-three trans-Atlantic voyages made by
the following twenty-two ships:

John & Sarah;
Amity;
Freeman;
Hester & Hannah;
Lyon;
Friendship;
Mary;
Society;
Golden Hindle;
Samuel;
Friends Adventure;
Providence;

Active Members are men and women over the age of twenty-one.
Residents are considered to be those living within fifty miles of Philadelphia,
while nonresidents are those who live beyond fifty miles.
Junior Members are those individuals under the age of twenty-one.
Junior members cannot vote, hold office or propose or endorse members,
but may be invited to entertainments given by the Society.
Upon reaching age twenty-one,
Junior Members automatically become Active Members

Any woman over the age of eighteen years,
who is lineally descended from a member of the Ancient and Honorable
Artillery Company of Massachusetts,
between the years 1637 and 1774,
is eligible to membership in this Society,
provided she is acceptable to the National Board of Management.
